About

United North East CDC is an Indiana, nonprofit, grassroots organization founded in 1995.  Our mission is to stabilize and unite the neighborhoods within the northeast and Meadows area communities and elevate the quality of life for neighborhood residents by providing affordable housing, creating jobs, increasing neighborhood assets, educating residents and establishing a safe environment.

Everyone deserves a safe and decent home to live in.  United North East CDC’s programs are designed to maintain and provide quality affordable housing that will increase community assets and improve the overall neighborhood image while rebuilding community pride and morale.  Oftentimes, people view "affordable housing" as cheap housing.  Affordable housing means that families do not spend more than 30% of their monthly income in housing expenses, utilities and insurance.

Building community partnerships is our greatest asset towards successful revitalization efforts within our community.  Coalition of the Northeast Neighborhoods Weed & Seed represents the combined effort of the neighborhood associations to address neighborhood issues and concerns such as criminal activity, illegal drugs and personal safety.
